Missions Around the Korner

GPC’s Annual Missions Weekend is scheduled for February 8-10.
This year GPC is focusing on missions in our community and region.
Please mark your calendars and plan to attend.

Friday evening from 6:30 – 8:30pm.
We will have 3 missionaries with us who are serving in various “Korners” of the community and world.
Scott and Ruth Hill who are ministering and church planting in Cherokee, NC with Mission to the World
Melanie Stone who is working with Mission to North America
and another serving in a sensitive region.
We will “travel” to each “korner” of the church to hear about their ministry while enjoying food provided by our small groups. The evening will conclude with a dessert and concert by GPC’s own Michael Kuehn.

Saturday, The Missions Committee is currently making plans for ways in which may minister to our neighbors who are just around the “Korner”. More details coming soon on how you can be involved.

Sunday Brunch 9:00 AM in the fellowship hall with guest speaker Lisa May who is a school counselor at Kernersville Elementary. Lisa is on the board of the Salvation Army’s Kernersville Corps and is involved in many ministry opportunities in our community.

Jonah Hooper, will be preaching during the worship service on Matthew 8:23-34. Jonah is ministry candidate and licentiate with Piedmont Triad Presbytery. He and his family serve and worship at Salem Presbyterian, and Jonah is pursuing his Masters of Divinity with RTS Global in pursuit of a pastoral call in the P.C.A.
