Our ACE ministry is all about providing a committed caring community at Grace. It’s just not possible for you to get to know people very well during the worship service. There are 150 people in one room and you only get five minutes or so to great one another as the children are dismissed from the service. It’s easy to feel lost and to that you do not have a place to plug in at Grace.

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe… All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

Acts 2:42-47

The ACE class is your next step in building relationships and connections. This class (there is currently only one but more will grow from it) is a smaller community of people than you will run into in the worship service. Instead of 150 there will be from 25-50 people in this group. So right away, you can get together every week with faces you will recognize. There will be some fellowship time allotted for each class. You can talk over coffee and donuts. The bulk of the time the class meets on Sundays will be spent in teaching. We will delve into God’s Word together. But that’s not all there is!

Each class will have a social team that will plan fun activities for the class to do outside of class. Cookouts, scavenger hunts, progressive dinners, movie nights etc, will provide you ways to build relationships and have fun with Grace folks.

Each class will also have a Care team whose job it is to organize ways for us to care fore one another (baby showers, meals for the sick, prayer times, etc) as well to minister to Kernersville and the rest of the world. You can use your gifts and serve the Body of Christ and help build the Kingdom of God.

So you can see that the ACE classes will provide you a direct link to life at Grace. As classes grow they will each form a unique identity. They will perpetually and provide a basis for permanent community at Grace.
