Youth Ministry
Grace Student Ministries (GSM) is GPC’s ministry to middle and high schoolers. GSM has its own website and Facebook group.
The Purpose of Grace Student Ministries may be summarized as follows:
GRACE through the Gospel
We desire students to know the infinite Grace that is offered them through faith in Christ, that the Grace of Christ offers them complete forgiveness and the power they need to enjoy an intimate relationship with God.
TRUTH of the Gospel
We desire students to learn to trust in the Truth of God’s word. There are many voices in our culture that try to lay claim on our minds and hearts. We want students to learn to distinguish between those voices, and to learn to listen to and trust the Voice of Truth, which is the Word of God.
LOVE produced by the Gospel
We desire students to learn that Love is produced by reliance upon Jesus. We want them to know how to Love God and Others, and to understand love and forgiveness as the primary fruit (Gal. 5:22 ) that comes from a relationship with Christ.
DELIGHT in the Gospel
We desire students to enjoy God. To know God approves of them because of what Christ has done for them. As a result, they are free to pursue their ultimate happiness in God, that their joy may be made full and that God may be glorified.
For Parents
It is our desire to provide events which are safe and enjoyable. We believe that these retreats and events foster community and provide space for us to focus on Christ. It is especially important on retreats that we break away from the daily pressures we experience as well as the distractions we sometimes enjoy. The guidelines and rules for student conduct are meant to help us all as grow together in Christ and in community. Each year the GSM team needs to have on file an updated Medical Release and Liability Form for each student signed by their parent(s) or guardian. Each student needs to read and sign a copy of the Covenant of Conduct Form.
