Though the Bible does not command us to organize small group ministry, it does assume that a significant relational life exists within the church. We must not just hope that this will happen automatically; the church must cultivate it. Home Fellowship Groups are Grace's chosen means of cultivating that relational life and health. Because of their foundational role in the life of our church, we hope that the vast majority of Grace attenders will be involved in a Home Fellowship Group (HFG).
Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply, from the heart.
1 Peter 1:22
At church you are in a room with 150+ people. In the ACE ministry you shrink the group to 25-50. However even with this smaller group its still possible to feel like you are unknown. Let's face it, even in a group of 30 people it is easy to get missed. Grace’s Home Fellowship Group ministry (HFG) is an even smaller community where you can know and be known intimately. Home Fellowship Groups are usually made up of 3 to 5 couples (or singles!). These groups meet regularly outside of church time and their main purpose is to provide you with a place where you can build deeper relationships and see the Gospel applied to your specific life situation. Here is a place where you can freely share about your story and hear about how God is at work in the lives of others. HFGs are led by trained members of Grace and they usually last for a year.
