Vision Summary
Building Community
- In five years, GPC will be a community where an individual may develop his/her gifts and be encouraged to pursue God's calling.
- In five years, GPC will be a community where communication is clear, consistent, and cooperative.
- In five years, GPC will be a community which actively seeks to include and welcome outsiders.
- In five years, GPC will be a community which is comprised of smaller communities lead by equipped and supported leaders.
- In five years, GPC will be a community which recognizes its place as a community within a community (Kernersville) and ministers to that larger community.
Develop Leaders
- In five years GPC will clarify, develop, and promote the link between "developing leaders" and "who are equipped and empowered by the Gospel" as the basis for leadership at Grace.
- In five years, GPC will advocate the mindset of servant leadership as demonstrated by Christ to be the model of Grace leaders.
- In five years, GPC will create a mindset in the congregation and current leadership to pray regularly for current and future leaders that they may be empowered and led by the Gospel.
- In five years GPC will establish a curriculum and conduct annual classes or workshop to teach prospective leaders how to be leaders.
The should include a leadership mentoring component.
- In five years, GPC will clearly articulate and communicate the strategic direction of the Church so that all current and new leaders can identify and understand where, how, and when God may be calling them to serve and the various leaders will be leading in a common direction.
Equip and Empower
- In five years, GPC ministers will know their place and purpose in the larger context of the church.
- In five years, GPC ministers will cultivate a nurturing environment which expresses support and appreciation of one another.
- In five years, GPC ministers will be efficient at accomplishing the tasks related to their area of called ministry.
- In five years, GPC ministers will be passionate about their personal work of ministry and enthusiastic about their role in the over-arching ministry of GPC.
- In five years, GPC ministers will be motivated to advance his Kingdom with power, and exhibit an infectious enthusiasm.
Reach Our Neighbors
- In five years, GPC will engaged the larger community through consistent communication regarding opportunities and ministries at GPC.
- In five years, GPC will be actively integrating visitors through process, relationship, and discipleship.
- In five years, GPC will be a "greenhouse" for developing and cultivating leaders and workers.
- In five years, GPC will be using its facilities to encourage and reach the community.
Reaching the Nations
- In five years, GPC will have a thriving Missions Committee.
- In five years, GPC will become a short-term missions resource center for the Triad Presbytery.
- In five years, GPC will have missionaries who are connected Grace and to whom Grace feels connected.
- In five years, GPC will be regularly communicating about missionaries and missions activities through multiple media within the church.
- In five years, GPC will be an equipping center for local people who are considering full-time missions as their calling.
