SUMMER SCHEDULE continues till August 21. We will be taking Sunday School off for the summer. We gather to pray at 10:00 am in the Fellowship Hall. Worship begins at 10:30 am.

SUPER-EASY MINISTRY OPPURTUNITY: If a few kind souls could please place chairs around the tables (already set up!) in the fellowship hall this morning in anticipation of VBS, that would be wonderful. Leave the drink table empty! Then roll the chair racks in to the youth room by the stage.

FAMILY PROMISE HOSTING: Please note on your calendars that we are hosting Family Promise on August 14-20 and October 23-29. Thanks to everyone who helped in June!

NURSERY GREETER NEEDED: We are in need of a volunteer to greet and check children into the nursery on Sunday mornings (before worship, at the meet and greet, and at the end of worship). This is a monthly rotational opportunity, a great way to get to know people and a way you can bless our families with young children. If you are interested in this position, please contact Christy Ogburn (993-1305 ext. 10).

SUMMER D High School Sunny D-Group for rising 9th graders through rising college freshman will meet on the following Friday evenings through the summer: 7/8, 7/22, 8/5, and 8/19. All at 7pm at Casa Del Rhoadero!

2ND ANNUAL JR BARNES MEMORIAL CAMPOUT will be held August 11-14. This trip is open to MS and HS-ers and their dads as well as any other men who would like to join us. Cost is $40 per person with a $100 max for each family. Bring orange soda pop and sunscreen.

SUMMER SMALL GROUP. The Plybons are hosting a small group Bible Study on Sunday nights at 6:30 at their home.  This Summer they are studying the book of Colossians.  Contact Jim or Claudia for more information.

VBS Volunteers Unite! There are endless volunteer opportunities with this year’s VBS and we could use countless talents from all; we are even using volunteer dead flies and worms. See? Opportunity for all! There are sign up sheets on the greeter’s table or call the church office for more info.

FROM DUST TO GLORY SMALL GROUP BIBLE STUDY meets weekly on Sunday evenings at the home of Mark and Diane Zobrosky. We are studying the series “from Dust to Glory” by RC Sproul. Just a reminder that June 5 marks the beginning of our summer schedule. Beginning June 5 and continuing to August 21, there will be corporate prayer in the sanctuary at 10 am and worship will begin at 10:30 am. Sunday School will resume with promotion Sunday on August 28.

For more information, talk to Adriana Dell’Arena, or Zoe or Ava Howard, who are all members of this Girl Scout Troop.

The truck will be picking up the items at 10am Thursday, May 12.  If you would like to donate to this food drive, the most needed items include canned meats, dry milk, canned fruits, deodorant, canned vegetables, toothpaste, peanut butter, disposable diapers, pasta, shampoo, flour, toilet paper, vegetable juice, and paper towels. Please NO glass products

ADULT BIBLE COMMUNITIES meet each Sunday morning from 9:30 to 10:15. Don Bechtold continues our study of the Minor Prophets.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT CHURCH SPRING COOKOUT will be held on May 4 from 6:00-8:00. Bring chairs and blankets as we enjoy one another’s company and the balmy spring evening. This concludes our Wednesday night activities for the Spring.

HIGH SCHOOL D-Group will meets tonight from 6:00-7:30pm at the Bechtolds’ home.

JAIL MINISTRY: Our next opportunity to minister at the jail will be May 8. If you did not attend a training in 2010 you must attend a training before you will be allowed to enter the jail as a volunteer in 2011. Please let Larry Clagett know if you have any questions.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS! VBS is just around the corner – June 27-30. This year’s theme is Just Desserts. Make plans to join us young and old alike as we minister to the children (adults receive lots of wonderful ministry as well!) in our community! We usually have over 100 children.

ADULT BIBLE COMMUNITIES meet each Sunday morning from 9:30 to 10:15. Don Bechtold continues our study of the Minor Prophets.

EASTER LILY SALE: You may purchase Easter Lilies to decorate the church for Easter Sunday. Order forms are available in the foyer, and the cost is $8 for one plant and $15 for two. Orders must by made by Tuesday, April 19.

HIPPITY-HOPPETY, I NEED HELP! The children’s Easter Party will be April 23rd at 10:30 AM. Adult volunteers are needed to help run the stations and hide eggs. If you can help, please let Lori Dell’Arena know. Thanks.

GRACE KIDS EASTER PARTY: April 23 @ 10am, rain or shine! Please bring one bag of individually-wrapped candy per child attending to the church building by April 17.

NO WEDNESDAY NIGHT ACTIVITIES: Due to this week’s Holy Week services and our hosting Family Promise next week, we will not meet on Wednesday night until May 4.

CHURCH SPRING COOKOUT will be held on May 4 from 6:00-8:00. Bring chairs and blankets as we enjoy one another’s company and the balmy spring evening. This concludes our Wednesday night activities for the Spring.

HIGH SCHOOL D-Group meets tonight at the Bectolds’ at 6pm. Read Chapter 4 in Gospel in Life.

HOLY WEEK: Join us for services on Holy Thursday (Lord’s Supper) and Good Friday. Both services are from 7-8pm. Good Friday’s service is more contemplative and quiet. Children are welcome, and parents should be prepared for the different tone of the service.

JAIL MINISTRY: Our next opportunity to minister at the jail will be May 8. If you did not attend a training in 2010 you must attend a training before you will be allowed to enter the jail as a volunteer in 2011. Please let Larry Clagett know if you have any questions.

NURSERY GREETER NEEDED: We are in need of a volunteer to greet and check in children in the nursery on Sunday mornings (before worship, at the meet and greet, and at the end of worship). This is a monthly rotational opportunity, a great way to get to know people (and greet some potential new friends), and bless our families with young children. If you are interested in this position, please contact Christy.

CHANGE HOMELESSNESS: After each worship service during the month of April the children of Grace will be collecting spare change to donate to Family Promise’s Cardboard Box City fund raiser.

VBS Volunteers Unite! There are endless volunteer opportunities with this year’s VBS and we could use countless talents from all; we are even using volunteer dead flies and worms. See? Opportunity for all! There are sign up sheets on the greeter’s table or call the church office for more info.

PUSH: Grace House Preschool will be hosting the 2nd annual P.U.S.H. (Preschoolers Uniting to Stop Hunger). There are 6 area preschools joining together with a 5,000 pound collection goal to donate to 2nd Harvest Food Bank. Be on the lookout for places to donate non-perishable items. The focus of our collection will begin May 2. If you have connections that could help us advertise in the
Kernersville area, please let Carla Collins or Christy Ogburn know.

WORLD HARVEST MISSION GOLF CLASSIC: May 4th, Bermuda Run Golf Club, Winston Salem. NON-GOLFERS WELCOME for dinner to hear a message from Josiah Bancroft. This is a worthwhile event for a mission agency we strongly support. Register at www.whm.dojiggy.com.

Africa Benefit Concert: April 30th @ 7:30pm, Spring Garden Community Church (853 South Elm St., Greensboro). Featuring: The Collection and Elisaray. Cost: $5 at the door. All proceeds benefit a mission trip this summer to Good Shepherd’s Fold, an orphanage in Uganda.

CARDBOARD BOX CITY: Family Promise of Forsyth County will be hosting its annual fundraiser at Kernersville Elementary School on April 29. Participants must raise $50 each. Please see Joe Dell’Arena if you are interested in participating.

ADULT BIBLE COMMUNITIES meet each Sunday morning from 9:30 to 10:15. Don Bechtold

JAIL MINISTRY TRAINING will be held TODAY at Union Baptist Church, 1200 North Trade
Street in Winston Salem. The time for training is 2:30pm until 4pm and will meet in one of
the large meeting rooms on their second floor. Please note that anyone arriving after
2:40pm will be turned away at the door. Also, in order for the training to be considered
valid, those in attendance must stay until the completion. Volunteers need only complete
one training session in 2011.

FROM DUST TO GLORY SMALL GROUP BIBLE STUDY meets weekly on Sunday evenings at
the home of Mark and Diane Zobrosky. We are studying the series “from Dust to Glory”
by RC Sproul. This a video and study that is a systematic study from Genesis to Revelation.

REDEEMER SCHOOL OPEN HOUSE TOUR: Redeemer School will be holding its final Open
House Tour of the enrollment season on Wednesday, April 13 from 9:15-10:30 AM. This
will be a great opportunity to tour the school and meet with our Headmaster and Curriculum
Coordinator. We are also excited to share more information with you about our new
Transitional Kindergarten program. The opening presentation will begin at 9:15. Please
